Flat Water Beginner Course – Ready to Ride
The British Stand Up Paddleboarding Association (BSUPA) is our sport’s recently established governing body. Despite many of our instructors having transferable qualifications in other extreme sports such as windsurfing, kayaking and surfing we’ve made it our policy that all lead instructors must have BSUPA qualifications in place for 2012.
‘Ready to Ride’ is a half day course which provides the newbie with an excellent insight into paddle boarding on flat water. We’ll be conducting courses most weekends throughout the season across our flat water locations. For groups bookings of 6+ courses will be made available midweek too. The course has been designed to cover everything from prone paddling to more advanced turning techniques alongside essential safety and weather information. We operate a 1:6 client to instructor ratio for safety reasons. This means that everyone in the group gets a decent amount of 1-2-1 coaching.
Costs: Adults 50/person / Children 40/person.
All equipment is provided so all you need to bring is a swimming costume, a towel and a bag for your belongings
Availability is limited to 12 clients per course so pre-booking is essential.
Children must be at least 12yrs old unless accompanied by a parent/guardian and be able to swim a minimum of 50m.
